My sculptures are inspired by nature and the living creature’s journey in figurative form. Using hand carving techniques I create high performance concrete art forms for the public in a natural setting.
The oversized hand sculpture gripping the tree allows the viewer to connect to the dead tree through visualizing the emerald ash borer in scale to the oversized hand perspective.
The emerald ash borer is beautiful and small but has an immense impact to the devastation of the giant ash tree population.
